About Me
Kristen Haywood is a former educator turned school communications and marketing professional with a proven ability to elevate brand presence through strategic storytelling and social media campaigns.
Prior to her role in school communications, Kristen Haywood spent more than a decade in the classroom. For seven years at North Mesquite High School, she managed the school’s social media content, advised an award-winning Student Council, and planned a variety of campus and community events while also teaching. As a Journalism & Publications instructor, she mentored students in journalism and storytelling, which resulted in six publications of the annual student yearbook, “The Trailblazer”.
Her teaching experience also includes roles as an English and RLA teacher at various middle and high schools in Texas. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Harding University and a Graphic Design Certificate from Southern Methodist University.
