What is a Program Advisor?

The Program Advisor (PA) is your Certification Assistant.  They are assigned a group of teachers with the only job of successfully leading them toward the pathway of teacher certification and supporting them as they navigate that first classroom experience.

Becoming a teacher in Texas is a long, hard process.  It is complicated and every teacher seems to have his or her own unique path to certification.

We believe all teacher candidates in the certification process need a Certification Assistant to help them navigate the complex process, so that the teacher can be their best teaching self.

How much is the program?

The cost of the program is less than $300  and the entire program (tuition and field-experience fees) range from $3,500-$4,000.

What makes 240 Certification different than the other programs?

After 10 years of working with tens of thousands of teachers in Texas, we saw teachers working with larger  alternative certification programs struggle to figure out  what to do next. Teachers from these larger programs are having to look beyond their program to find the answer to a simple question: “What do I need to do next to be a teacher?”

At 240, even we were asked these questions. We hated to see good teachers struggle to navigate the complex world of teacher certification.

That is why the foundation of our program is the Program Advisor. All teachers in 240 Certification are assigned a Program Advisor that they can directly call, text, or email with any question about teaching. Any question you have can be answered by the Program Advisor. It is their job to support you and help you to become certified and successful in the field.

Each Program Advisor is assigned a small group of teachers, so you know that you will get the answers you need when you are needing them.
